Help and support

FAM360 is a free app for families on iPhone and Android. Here is how to get help.

Write to us

Send us an e-mail: hello@fam360.app

Tell us the e-mail address of your FAM360 account and which phone you use (iPhone or Android). Never send your password: we will never ask for it.

Your account

Create your account in the app with your e-mail address and a password you choose. A child does not need an account: a parent or guardian connects the child’s phone (see below).

Confirm your e-mail address

After you sign up, open the confirmation link we e-mailed you. If it has not arrived, look in your spam folder, then tap “Send the link again” on the “Confirm your e-mail” screen of the app. Each link works once and for a limited time.

Forgot your password?

On the sign-in screen of the app, tap “Forgot password?”. We send a link to the e-mail address of your account so you can choose a new password.

Your family

In the app, one adult taps “Create my family”. The family’s owner and guardians can then invite other adults by e-mail from the family screen: the invitation link works once and expires, and the person can accept or decline. Joining a family never switches location sharing on.

Sharing your location

You decide what you share. Under My family, tap “Share my location” and choose “Exact location”, “Approximate location” (an area rather than your position) or “Don’t share”. You can pause or change your choice at any time.

To share, FAM360 needs your phone’s location permission. To keep your position up to date while the app is closed, allow location “Always” on iPhone or “Allow all the time” on Android. In the app, Settings → Permissions shows what this phone allows; you can change it at any time in your phone’s settings.

Connecting a child’s phone

On your phone, open the child’s profile under My family and tap “Set up phone”. FAM360 shows a code and a QR code that work once and only for a few minutes. On the child’s phone, install FAM360, choose “This is a child’s phone”, then scan the QR code or type the digits. Only a guardian who holds the permission to set up the child’s phone can do this.

A connected child’s phone is never hidden

On a connected child’s phone, FAM360 always shows that the phone is connected, to which family, whether its location is shared and with whom. The app never hides itself, and a parent or guardian can disconnect the phone in FAM360.

On Android, a “FAM360 is connected” notification is shown whenever FAM360 runs on a connected child’s phone, and it comes back if it is swiped away.

Notifications

Allow notifications when FAM360 asks, or later in your phone’s settings, to be told for example when the battery of a family phone is low or when a phone is connected to your family. In the app, Settings → Notifications lets you choose what FAM360 tells you and set quiet hours.

Delete your account

In the app: Settings → Account → Delete my account. Without the app, the account deletion page explains what is deleted and sends you a link.
